I have not heard of these until my brother showed me a few videos of them being recorded. Skyquakes can sound like trumpets or an engine rumbling when there are no signs of what is causing them. They can be quite eerie sounding as the people in the videos show.
There are a few who claim all of these videos are hoaxes, but I don't buy that one. No bird sounds in the above videos which the debunker claims made the skyquake sounds.

Update on skyquakes: It appears they are mainly caused by the Sun hitting the Earth's magnetic field. The phenomena creates a sound when it happens lower in the atmosphere and can also cause the mysterious lightning as well.
Still, it is an interesting thing happening out there.
