An Open Letter From the Comte St Germaine Empty
PostSubject: An Open Letter From the Comte St Germaine   An Open Letter From the Comte St Germaine I_icon_minitimeFri May 24, 2013 4:26 pm

Greetings to all who are reading this letter. I have enjoyed all of the speculation as to who I really am from all those authors of some wonderful fiction. I am called the Comte St Germaine which is a noble title given to me because of my royal birth. At least that is what I have claimed to those who asked about the title. I have mentioned my father being a Transylvanian Prince.

There are also many others who have worn the title of Count or Comte St Germaine and they are rightful in their claims as well. This is where some confusion lies as I am the famed alchemist and some say charlatan. If I am a charlatan, then how do they explain I still live on centuries after my 'death'? If one notices in all the biographies of my life, there are very few mentions of my given name. Most persons would not refer to me by my given name but by my title since I was the one holding it at the time.

I have kept this mystery for many reasons as they did persecute people for having interests in areas considered the occult or witchcraft. They imprisoned and even executed those who were found guilty of such crimes. They would use other charges but it was well known why they were bringing those people to their form of justice. While I did do some alchemy and other things of a supernatural matter, I kept it hidden not just to protect myself but mainly to protect family and friends.

I am immortal and there are so many speculations as to why this is. There are others who claim I was born and died in the usual dates given. Now, I had to protect family and friends who were not immortal from harm so I gave a date of my birth that was within reason. Also, I would have to 'die' as the Comte St Germaine and resume my life in another identity. I would also make sure to not do supernatural fetes in front of those who would report them. Secrecy makes for a better life as there are many times I do not wish to be disturbed.

The immortality then begs a question as to who I am. Some modern authors of this era claim I am a vampire. They make this claim because I stated I was born in Transylvania. Now, back when I did that vampires were known about and existed everywhere. But a certain author in the late 19th Century wrote a wonderful book of fiction about Prince Vlad Dracula becoming a vampire. He picked His Highness because of his bloodthirsty acts against his enemies. I must admit he was dangerous to those who were on the wrong side, but he was also a most charming man.

The author wrote his ideas of what vampires are and formed many of the rules so many others follow today. I will explain to most that a vampire is a terrible creature that feeds off of the blood and life forces of others. Vampires are controlled by witches and warlocks who use them for their purposes of revenge. The person who becomes a vampire has very little control over their body and their soul is trapped in it. That is why they are destroyed so their souls can be released. To answer the question of whether or not I am a vampire, the answer is no. I also love the Sun and most vampires are powerless as they are only used at night.

There is another story of fiction which claims I am a deity. Now I like that claim and it is quite possible I am one. I also might be a warlock, wizard, sorcerer or just cursed. I will let the reader decide for themselves as to who or what I am. I also mentioned I have family and I respect their privacy so I will not write much about them or if some of them are immortal such as I am. Most out there will agree family is the most important thing in our lives. That is what makes my life bearable as I do not need gold and jewels.

I did use my title to gain access to many royal families and had to help them out. Most of them had little or no monies in their treasuries or coffers. There is a simple reason for that as most of them were heads of small and relatively poor lands. Their peoples were of modest means so very little in taxes were collected or charged. If they did tax a bit too much, the peasants would side with another family and allow them to take over the small state with no resistance. I then would create a small bit of money so they could live in comfort. But some chose to live truly opulent lifestyles which always bothered me a bit. Did they not realize their money would run out again?

In the end it was they who were using me and I did not like that. I did have many friends who were the opposite and asked nothing from me. I considered them true friends and am in contact with their scion to this day.

For those of you who want answers, I tell you this: Does it not make your life a bit more interesting to have a few true mysteries out there? Is it not fun to ponder who I am? Many books are out there speculating as to who or what I am or did. For my amusement I read them and have collected them.

I close this letter by stating for all of you to enjoy your lives. Make the simple things pleasurable. Do not worry about money as it is useless in the end. It just purchases material things that break down or crumble over time. Take a walk along the beach and enjoy the water of the sea or lake. Stop and smell the flowers or watch the bees pollinate them.

I do wish all of you a long and fruitful life. May the Great Goddess Bona Dea Bless all of you with good health.

Again, I am having a bit of fun with the Comte St Germaine as there will be links to a site that is all about him. This letter leaves a bit of mystery as to who he is. It also is my speculation on what the Comte would think about all of the media surrounding who he is. He can feel free to comment and tell me how wrong I am.
