That was very good. Too bad that most people feel differently. I don't really have any one view on either side. I don't think though that any form of marriage should be taken lightly. Regardless of whom you are marrying.
It should be a committment of the deepest kind. I have had friends that have taken the leep and family members but it was for the wrong reasons. I certainly do not want to make that mistake.
I also don't think it is a very open view among older straight people. For most people it is and should be between a man and a woman. A ying and a yang. I understand that point as well. In nature there is usually a male and a female because you need them to create another being. There has to be a balance. Yet, as human beings we can see love quite differently. Heck in some countries very young individuals 12 or so can get married and are encouraged to do so. Very odd to me and others because a child does not know his/her heart at that age. The mind is not yet fully developed.
And love is a strange thing. In my short un republican opinion I say love betweent two concenting adults whether you are gay or straight is not my business. As long as you treat each other right what should be the issue? Get married if you want.. big deal. I have a gay friend that he absolutely is against it. He thinks that is so old fashioned. That is also his opinion as a gay man. I don't agree with him but he has a right to that opinion as well.
Love is all ya need right?
