weird dream about weird dark creature

Had a weird dream about the "shadow" man last night.

I have no clue where it came from and I remember hearing about it as a kid.. Not shadow people or demons.. but shadow man..

Had dream he was watching me sleep and in my dream my dog was barking at him...(granted probably because my dog actually woke me up barking - IN HIS SLEEP no less)

but anyone ever hear of a Shadow Man? Not just the random top hat characters people claim to see but like a real life boogey man..

I have not heard of a Shadow Man but it could of been something a grandparent told you when you were very young. It sounds like a version of the shadow people I have read about and sounds very scary.

I read that dream and started to think of Freddy Krueger popping up in the dreams.

I used to dream of a ghostly Bigfoot type creature popping up and scaring me. Not fun to see that beast as I would wake up quite scared thinking it was very real.

Creepy thing when I was about 5 years old I woke up one night during a storm one of those nights in the late summer before the land of central air.. and the storm had just stopped I sat up in bed and looked at the weird trees rubbed my eyes and looked down at these apartments that were behind my parents house. They had these little alleyways in between them and I looked and saw what appeared to be a shadow man with a top hat leaning against one of the apartments and I could swear he was looking up at my bedroom window..

I laid back down and could not sleep the rest of the night. I remember telling my mom about it the next day and she told me it was a dream.. I know what I saw and I wasn't dreaming. Even if he was a real man not a shadow he creeped me out.

I also grew up near a huge cemetery. It was a huge Catholic Cemetery were over a 1000 dead are buried there at least. I think about that sometimes.. no wonder I'm the way I am!

Parents also want you to calm down and won't tell you "Yes, that was a strange and sinister man who may of had ulterior motives." I remember having a dream of being attacked by a large bug and while it felt real to me my parents insisted it was a dream.

I can still hear the buzzing and wonder if there was a large wasp in the room. Luckily I wasn't stung, but my parents didn't even bother to check the room.

I have had a few boys wake up screaming from a nightmare and I sat with them and calmed them down. It took a while for them to fully wake up, and whatever it was sure terrified them.

I do think there are many creatures capable of visiting our dreams. Some have good intentions and others have bad intentions.

Either way it makes you think of something from another realm that comes from the darkness and in that darkness you are completely alone. Just you and your dreams..

Brad Steiger is an author and researcher who looks into other realms and the creatures that roam it. While most of the anecdotes are second hand, they still are very scary.

He does think vampires, werewolves and other nocturnal creatures are quite possible and is one to think the state of dreams is a very real place.

Dreams are links into other realms. Mind over matter so to speak. I believe that you can connect with both living and dead in the dream realm such to communicate.

I think dreams can allow you to see things from a past life.
Our dreams can give us a glimpse at the future as well.

Our unconscious mind can travel where we can not.

I agree on that. So many times I've had the unusual dream about living in another time or place. Never seem to be doing much but living normally.
