Seems like most of the haunted houses and lands have been cursed by seals of Native American magic- at least here in North America.
This would include Amityville (if you believe it that is) and recently an episode of Paranormal State.
Were some of our ancestors creating curses on purpose? Or was this an ancient form of a security system at work?? I haven't Found a lot on ancient magic practices as much as information on healing and culture. Just A curious thing.

It could be they wanted to protect places they held sacred. It seems the settlers at the time had no regard for any heathen or Pagan beliefs and would build over it.
Burial areas would be dug up and moved with no regards to the spirit world. This still goes on today as many developers want to put a strip mall on once pristine land.
That is why I think many of these areas have curses on them. I don't think it was malicious, but just a way for them to protect sacred spaces.

Very true. I just think it is kind of interesting. Nothing is really known about their practices. Makes you wonder.
