Chicago: A Ghost Hunter's Dream Empty

Chicago has a reputation all over the world for being the Gangster Capital. It never lived down Al Capone and the 1930s (City Bosses didn't help much with their corruption). The city is also known for its haunted cemeteries which have tours to them. I have never been on a tour, but my family members have visited a few places (I have driven past some notorious ones myself).

Some claim they have seen something, but others claim it is background traffic lights as it took place during the night. One of these days I am going to go on a haunting trek and visit some of these places.

All one has to do is Google Chicago hauntings and they will see what I mean.

Are there any local areas which are supposedly haunted where you are from? Are they well known or just by the locals?

There are a few houses where I grew up (south suburban area) that have claims of being haunted. They are not well known, and I have not seen anything strange myself. They were built in the late 1800s and have had people pass away in them as funeral homes are relatively new ideas.
