Why is it when you reach a certain point in your relationship all you do is argue about EVERYTHING!!!! Not even the biggest deal either small stuff..

I have grown as a person and I have learned to overlook things about my man that irk me. I kind of see him as someone I'm going to be with for the long haul. Yet I have my days when I want to go to an island all by myself.

I NEED MY SPACE.. I am a loner by nature..it is how I heal from the day. I need at least 30 min a day of "ME" time.

I have discussed it with my man and it always seems to come off the wrong way. It is always taken personally - I know things have been kinda hard for him lately.. just got laid off and I know that messes with a guys man hood or whatever, I have learned to bite my tongue. Try to spend more time out of the house together rather than sit on the couch watching tv being sad over things we cannot fix in our lives outside of one another..

It just annoys me

It is interesting as my sister was telling me how she needs a few days away from her husband and the kids. She says she loves them dearly but also needs her "me" time. You are not alone in this one!

I always had my separate home when I was in relationships. I never moved in with anyone or vice versa and can't even imagine it. And yet I had foster sons living at my house and loved it.

One thing you might want to do is what my sister does and that is mark certain days where you take a weekend or a few days off and stay in a hotel with room service.

Alone time is important.
Trust is the thing, it all works around to trust and respect.
Once that is established, the alone time will be understood and accepted.
I've been married to the same women for 39 years, trust me I know. Razz

I guess it also is the woman's last bastion of us men getting out of their hair.

I do spend time in my shop, usually making or fixing something she wants.

But I fish, and so does she, and we take many day trips.

Mostly we are soul mates and don't care for being apart to much.

I got out last night for book club. It helped as his being home NON STOP drives me batty. Yet I miss his face when he ISN"T around.. gotta love it..

We do a lot better than we were 2 years ago. That was a rough patch but we both agreed that we will never agree on everything. He is in need of being around people when he has a bad day.. and I'm the opposite. I need to be in vast space alone with my self to meditate. If I could afford a hotel with room service I would.. I honestly need a vacation. Work has been overly busy lately and doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. At home I have been trying to catch up on my finances so when I break even I can plan a getaway!
