| Excellent video but I must stress that everyone is different. All humans have differing needs so what is good for one person is bad for another. I know some people who do not eat meat and are the picture of good health. Personally, I love my cheeseburgers and bacon, but I also eat in moderation (for the most part).
The main thing is to take care of oneself and eat what is good for you. If you want to be a vegan, that is fine but don't convert me. If you want an Adkins Diet, that is also fine but I like my carbs too.
There are too many vegans and vegetarians who while goodhearted are always trying to get people to stop eating meat.
Now I am going to watch an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and eat a greasy bacon cheeseburger.

| Ha I am the same way! I have this thing with chicken. I could kill a chicken for food. I would not delight in it but for survival outside of the grocery store - I think I could. There is always the possibility I may "chicken out" pardon the pun but I love my poultry. I do like red meat and my body needs it - I have to have vitamins from it or I get very ill. Sugar I definitely could eat less of, but don't. I should start my own Chocoholics anonymous. | |

| When I get a sweet tooth, I get a sweet tooth. Look out anything chocolate when it happens. I know many people who claim one diet will work for them and they swear by it. When I had to lose weight for my surgery, I just cut back on everything and ate less calories. It was the usual just say no to food I really didn't need and was difficult to do. But it needed to get done and now I am back to eating what I like. I still eat less since the diet, and do want to lose a bit more weight for summer. I take my time about it and am in no hurry to do so. | |

| I push my plate away from the table more than before. When ever I wanted to lose weight - arobic walking always works and some weights. I enjoy weights but you have to really be careful on your back.

| I had processed chicken rings last night. I know, it is bad for me but it tastes soooo good.
Walking and swimming are the best exercise methods out there. I used to be able to walk and can't do it so much now.
My boys were always into boxing, wrestling and other activities that worked them out good.

| Just got through half of a book by Dr. Scott Connelly called Body RX
there is a very interesting chapter on what makes us all overweight and the truth actually has me feeling like food is a parasite (not all don't take it i'm an anorexic suddenly..) just what is in all of it. High Fructose who knew after someone explains it in simple terms what it is that makes it such a dangerous thing. Besides it is a preservative- there is high gross sugars that is in everything and does not need to be. Processed foods and frozen foods so they keep longer.
When our ancestors ate they ate mainly protein. They got off their bums and did stuff for themselves.. weight gain is okay if it can be turned into muscle according to Dr. Scott. It suddenly makes sense why noone loses weight after starving themselves. You can eat a lot as long as it is high in protein. In fact 6 meals a day! May have heard it all before..but our ancestors ate only meals high in protein.
Nothing wrong with fried foods either except that they can clog some people's arteries.. not all people in truth are the same strange but true...
It is a short sweet to the point book. I like it.
So far I have done maybe 3 days of weight training this week for myself..(if only i could shrink my large head hahahahahahaha)
check out the book you may be shocked

| I did learn corn syrup is a very complex sugar that the body will store instead of burn off. Cane or beet sugars are the best type of sugars when you look at the ingredients on labels.
The corn syrup industry is trying to get people to say corn sugar and try to change their image. But the truth of the matter is any sugar from a corn product will not easily break down and will make people obese.

| I'm now thinking of changing some of the brands of bread and cereal I now buy. granted you cannot stay away from it 100% but I plan to do what little I can to be healthier. | |

| Many products and sodas now advertise as having cane sugar in them. The glass bottle Pepsi and Coke in Mexican markets has cane sugar in them and are now selling well in the USA.
It does mean looking around more but many alternatives can be found out there.

| It is funny how the vegans are making a big stink about Starbucks using those beetles as food coloring. I would think other customers would say something after learning they have been drinking ground insects! | |
