Cranky Pants Syndrome Empty
PostSubject: Cranky Pants Syndrome   Cranky Pants Syndrome I_icon_minitimeFri Jan 20, 2012 4:13 pm

as I have been referred to in the past.. but sometimes I have my reasons.

I loathe people who call you their friends then when you have something really important going on they are not there or you get complaints about a new idea you had but they are still stagnant.

I can never tell if it is "they are having a bad day." or they are just jerks.

I have older friends (late 60's) they get cranky I understand it, I have friends in their 20's that get cranky and I overlook their issues too. But what I don't understand is when you are successful at something Why do people have to bring it down? Get angry at it like it is hurting them? I don't play well at jealousy..

Even if most of the time they are well meaning people how do you mentally deal with it without letting it bog you down?

Therapy doesn't really work in that situation and apparently talking to them doesn't help either because then you just get yelled at.

which doesn't help me either. So how to heal from the inside out. How to find that place inside yourself so you are not ready to drive with road rage and just all in all stop caring period??

I can say I will get over people acting like this that are in my life and I should know them well enough by now. And maybe my expectations are too high for people.

Maybe a lot of things. Punching a wall can work too.

But that hurts your hand.. so I'm a little cranky pants today.. and I don't usually show that side to my friends on my forums but today (I will not go into detail as to what transpired) but I am really trying to bite the bullet and in this case it is burning a hole him my stomach because really I just want to lash out.

Any healing suggestions to get me over the bad thing that transpired that is not going to go anywhere anyhow?

It sucks to care about people that you in the end try hard to overlook their misgivings but at what cost?

and am I being too sensitive? Perhaps..dunno and maybe I just shouldn't care...

All in all it put me it gave me cranky pants syndrome...

Unfortunately, many people are jealous of someone's success, whether it is at work or at home. Some will make snide comments that are uncalled for and then say it is a joke if the person is offended.

As someone who is in their late 40s, I am over the jealousy of others. I will admit I have been jealous or envious and may have said some snarky comments. But after all that I have experienced in my life I have found it to be childish to act that way. Life is too short and precious to be upset about someone (especially for no good reason other than jealousy). It takes a lot to admit one's faults, but that is one way I have been able to grow.

I do hope those people in your life can grow up a little and realize they are being juvenile (although I have seen many adolescents behave better than some adults in this aspect).

Just remember you know of your accomplishments in work and at home along with your family and loved ones. The others may grow in that aspect and see their cranky attitude is hurting them more than anyone else.

I appreciate the words of wisdom. I am better today. Yesterday I did not engage in any form of social networking and computers. I needed the break I think. Too much coming at me from certain folks I wanted to yell at.. but I remained calm.

You might want to get something like this:

Cranky Pants Syndrome 51iT6wM5pQL._SS400_

I have found they are very calming and can take away a lot of stress.

I know we tend to burn the candle at both ends But!
Some down time is recommended, maybe a bottle of wine and soft music.

I must say that I prefer "Red Stag" (Jim Beam) on ice or straight up.

I take some heartburn medicine if I am going to go out for some spicy foods. You may want to look into this one: Omeprazole. I get it as a prescription, but it might be available over the counter. I guess not as I found this:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000936/

Still, it is worth checking into. I take it about half an hour before eating and it works great. Also, if I forgot to take it and start getting the symptoms of heartburn, I take a capsule and it works almost immediately.

thank you for that Max. I very rarely get it I am still not feeling 100% today. I am also wondering if it may have been a mild virus. I am taking a lot of Vitamin C just in case. This rain/ dry/ rain/ snow/ice / dry/ rain/ rain/ mud weather in Ohio is killing me.

Usually I get acid reflux from certain foods, but sometimes I can feel it starting to happen when I am in bed. Since I hate it when I have acid reflux at night (throwing up in the mouth- I know disgusting), I take one of those capsules and it prevents it.

I take vitamins and now Ginko supplements now. I really need to better my diet, but it can be quite expensive eating all those good foods.

I had those troubles until a MD checked my Ph.
Seems my uric acid levels were elevated.
(uric acid causes gout and other problems)

Simple solution, 600mg of sodium bicarbonate, twice a day.
(plain old baking soda)
Since I've been doing it now over a year, I almost never get heart burn.

I went home sick yesterday. It's a virus. I'm achy and tired. I have my trusty iPhone and a book to read- this sux. Nothing worse than having a tummy virus Sad

Now a stomach virus is not good.
Try sipping coke (cola) with crushed ice.
The crushed ice will help with fever.
I doubt it has any real healing properties
but it will help settle a upset stomach.
It just helps you feel better.

Ginger ale has also helped me when I had a very upset stomach. But be careful as there might be some blockage or possible strangulation if you get severe abdominal pain.

I do hope you feel better and may the Mother Goddess Bless you and keep you healthy.
