Fall In Fallen Empty
PostSubject: Fall In Fallen   Fall In Fallen I_icon_minitimeThu Aug 23, 2012 9:43 pm

Whispering trees
One red leaf
Soon winter will claim
All

Honey bees searching
Just one more flower
The crows are devouring the last of
The corn

The ponds cool
And grow more shallow
The koi venture deeper into their magical
Underwater world

The heat of a lazy afternoon cools
To a crisp catch of breeze
A spider web fills with icy dew
Fallen now is the glamorous world of a
Black widow

The Cuyahoga Valley train will soon
Slow for another January
Bitten by Sir Jack Frost
A dark hole in the ground will fill
Up with grub

Pumpkins ripen
Carved in scary things
To make your heart jump and pump
Silence falls across the bridge
Of Sand Run

Again the smell of the
Forest and the marsh
Will belong to Hades
Persephone and Plates or Salem

Black cat in my window
This is my favorite season
My vacation of the mind
Cooling my body
This is witches season

I can't wait for fall as this summer has been brutally hot. I love this poem as it conveys my favorite parts of fall as well.
