PostSubject: JFK: The Original Conspiracy   Tue Jan 29, 2013 3:03 pm

When one thinks of conspiracy theories the first one that comes to mind is the JFK Assassination. I will admit I was a skeptic and even a debunker to those who suggested the shooter was anyone but Oswald. I remember watching a Nova special which appeared to prove the shooter was Oswald once and for all.

It was not until I read the book UFOs, JFK, and Elvis: Conspiracies You Don't Have to Be Crazy to Believe by Richard Belzer. The book is a sometimes humorous look at a very serious subject. Yet, Mr Belzer raised many questions about the lone bullet that was supposed to of done all the damage on the President as well as the Governor of Texas.

There are other aspects of this conspiracy such as Oswald being an imposter; the mob did it; the Cubans did it which seem to detract a bit from the main questions asked.

First, the mob might of had some power back in the early 1960s, but not enough to have the Texas National Guard stand down. There is also other questions suggesting the CIA and some very high officials were involved. LBJ ducking before the shots are fired is another puzzle. He seemed to know in advance what was about to happen.

Three bullets from a bolt action rifle fired from a book depository just doesn't make sense anymore. Two of those bullets missed the targets which left only one to hit JFK twice (including that head injury) and then go back and wound the Governor of Texas. 'Magic Bullet Theory' is what it is known as in conspiracy circles.

Jim Marrs had written the definitive book on the assassination called Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy. It is the first conspiracy book written by Mr Marrs and the best researched of the bunch.

I do think the JFK assassination is the best way to start this new board on the Preternatural forum.

The must read book by Mr Jim Marrs. It is very well researched and covers many aspects of the Warren Commission:

Crossfire: The Plot to Kill Kennedy by Jim Marrs

Good article on the five unanswered questions of the JFK assassination (The site is progressive for the most part):
