Mayans, the end, and alien life forms

You know there is a slight truth to the alien part.. we recently found a planet made entirely of water and yes, I'm sure there are animal life forms of some sort on it.

Whether or not it is like ours - who knows.. that stuff is cool but I also see it as an extension of our own back yards. Planets are made up of the same particles as our own. Yes we do encounter new materials with probes but the basics are still there.

ANd the recent stuff about the world ending and then - it didn't.. my question is very simple.. but

What about those guys that wrote all those books and made their claims.. THE END IS COMING THE END IS COMING...granted they will find a new day.. a new time.. a new way.. but what does that mean for those guys that have used this Mayan calculating for things such as Ancient Alien show episodes. (not pointing fingers) but in some books there have been guys that have used past enounters to explaing the mayan calendar and even the science behind the pyramids.. with so much skeptical ideals I have to ask.. so do we just figure out new connections to these things?

It has been connected in the past- aliens- end of the world- future doom, what if there is no future doom and I know I said this in another thread, but what do the guys in boots and khaki pants do now? =)

Perhaps they will stop the spreading of fear and do what I always believed they would someday do.. figure out they really don't know what the heck they are talking about.

This is the one thing they have to all live down. The authors will pick a new date for their doomsday scenario and rewrite the old books to tell the minor errors they made coming up with the old date. So many programs made such a big deal out of the date it will be hard for them to live this one down. The debunkers are having a field day and rightly so.

They are also discovering worlds which may harbor life quite close to us.

I could have the name wrong but isn't it called Planet X? I thought it was the planet that was part of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction case. She had named a planet that had not been discovered yet. Strange.

Unless it was all a psychic dream maybe. I am not sure who decides on the AA shows but the doomsday episodes can now go away. So can some of those shows about disclosure.. my opinion is that if they want to be seen they will.

I do know they need to redo the star map showing all of the red dwarf stars in the area. Most astronomers now believe they would be perfect for having habitable planets.
